JOGATHON STILL ON & SUPPORT FOR FIRE VICTIMS
JOGATHON and FIRE VICTIMS information
As you are aware, there are currently multiple wildfires burning across California. Many of our own Caleb families have relatives and friends that have been directly affected by these fires. This is a devastating tragedy and our hearts go out to the victims.
The air quality in Sacramento was extremely poor last night and today as a result of the fires, and we have heard concerns about students participating in the poor air during our Jogathon this Friday. At this point in time, the air quality is expected to improve by tomorrow and therefore the Jogathon and track ribbon cutting ceremony will proceed on Friday. We are monitoring the air quality closely, and even consulting with a local meteorologist. If there are changes to the forecast that impact the Jogathon, we will inform you as soon as possible.
We are grateful to have our homes, families and school safe, and thanks to our safety we have the opportunity to provide support for the victims of these destructive and devastating fires. Please help us provide relief to the fire victims by reaching into your homes and hearts and bringing any of the following to school on Friday.
- First Aid Items
- New socks
- New underwear
- Masks and gloves
- Personal Hygiene items
- Unopened dog and cat food
These items will be transported from Caleb Greenwood to a collection center where volunteers will transport them directly to Santa Rosa. Together, we can make a difference.
