Jog-a-Thon 2014
IB therefore I RUN

This year’s jog-a-thon was a significant fundraiser for Caleb Greenwood Elementary that includes all students.  This event was a fun and fit activity for K-6th graders to show their support and raise funds for our classrooms. Our goal this year was to support literacy by providing books for each classroom, building classroom libraries rich with both fiction and non-fiction selections that will excite our students about reading. Students also had a chance to earn prizes from our generous community donors while also supporting their school.  Although the goal of this event is to raise funds for literacy, we put the jog-a-thon together for three very important reasons:

  • Promote the importance of physical fitness
  • Build school spirit and pride
  • Create a fun, memorable experience for our children

Our school goal this year was $12,000. We exceeded that goal and raised $16,000!
