December 13, 2020: Update from Mrs. Hanson

Post

Good evening, Caleb families! We’ve got some new things to share with you for our final school week of 2020!

On Wednesday, you’ll want to join us for a school-wide Zoom at 1:15pm for learning, music, art and fun to kick off our Principled Participation Action activity to benefit Sacramento Loaves and Fishes. This event is for ALL Caleb students and their families and will be presented by our very own sixth graders. Please attend and then sign up to provide breakfast items for the Loaves & Fishes patrons on December 29. Zoom links and breakfast sign-ups can be found in our IB PYP Google Classrooms and will be shared by your teachers as well.

Also this week, our creative and tireless music teacher, Mrs. Fitzpatrick is releasing details about our Digital Winter Concert. While the pandemic doesn’t allow us to come together in person, it can’t stop us from celebrating the winter season with music. Please be sure to check out the promo video and slides in this week’s email blast and on Mrs. Fitzpatrick’s Google Classroom.

And in our Caleb PE Fun Google Classroom, Coach Schranz has added a new Rungo card for this week and is working on more for the winter break.

Thanks to everyone who has already completed an LCFF form for your family. If you haven’t yet done so, expect a call or two from our front office this week. You can find the link here if you’d like to avoid those calls!

First trimester report cards are complete. If you haven’t picked yours up or received it via email, you can check it out on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Information about how to check that can be found on our Distance Learning Resources page here

Be sure to check out this week’s Cougar Video Message and IB PYP Newsletter, both of which will be available on our website this evening.

Lastly, if this shelter in place order is getting you down and you need something to lift your spirits or settle your mind, check out the Virtual Calming Room on our district website. It’ll help!

Take care,

Principal Erin Hanson
