Exciting news for the 2016-17 school year: To improve our service to families and students, we are giving teachers dedicated time every week to plan together. Research shows that educators who collaboratively discuss and plan their work are more effective in the classroom.
To accommodate this collaborative time, we will be adjusting bell schedules for the fall and releasing students early every Thursday. All other days, students will stay in school a little longer than last year. This is our new schedule:
A brand new event to our school this year, we hope to reinforce good reading habits in our students while supporting literacy enrichment programs at Caleb Greenwood. The month long Read-A-Thon will culminate in a literary themed celebration on March 2nd in recognition of Read Across America Day (Dr. Seuss day).
