Good evening, Caleb families! This week’s Cougar Video Message and IB PYP Newsletter are up on our website. You can find them by visiting www.calebgreenwood.scusd.edu and clicking on the “News” tab. While you’re on the website, please also take a few minutes to review the PTSO 2020-21 budget and vote for our new slate of officers by clicking on the “PTSO” tab.  Before you leave our website, please click on the Emergency Card link to complete one form for EACH of your children, then take a moment to ensure our schools are properly funded by completing the Local Control Funding Formula form for your family. 

Yearbook News: The 2020-21 Caleb Greenwood Yearbook will likely become our most treasured, unique yearbook ever thanks to covid-19 and distance learning. This year, we’re relying on YOU to share candid pictures of your kiddos learning at home or in “pods,” connecting virtually with others, living the IB Attributes, and finding fun & laughter during the pandemic. In essence, we’re documenting history! To learn how to submit photos, click here. 

Student Materials: Materials exchanges for grades two through six are taking place this week. Bins with labeled envelopes for each student will be placed in front of the school from 8am-6pm. There is no need to call or enter the school, but please do wear a mask and maintain social distancing so we can keep everyone safe and healthy. Pickup days are as follows: 

Monday: Second Grade 

Tuesday: Third & Fourth Grades  

Wednesday: Fifth & Sixth Grades 

If you are unable to pick up on your designated day, all bins will be placed out front on Thursday and Friday, from 8am-6pm, for make-up pick up. 

Zoom Authentication: Please note that in order to increase security and student privacy,  students in grades 4-6 will be required to complete an authentication process when signing in to Zoom. Beginning tomorrow morning, students must sign in to Zoom by clicking on the link that says “Sign in with Google” and will then be prompted to enter their SCUSD email and password. If you run into issues, please don’t panic! Take a few deep breaths and visit the district Zoom support web page learn.scusd.edu/zoom for troubleshooting assistance. There are no changes for students in grades kinder through third.
