Good evening, Caleb families,

I know this time of uncertainty is stressful for both kids and parents. With the County’s shelter in place order through April 7th, it’s now clear that it will be at least several weeks, and possibly longer, before we are back together again. I’m writing this evening to urge you to take this time to take a collective deep breath, embrace this time with each other, and stay calm.

District leaders are working to develop learning opportunities that will meet the needs of diverse learners all over our district. Caleb teachers are balancing the needs of those in their personal lives with their commitment to serving their students. I’m working to understand and respond to the needs of our staff and community. None of this is easy, and none of it is going to happen quickly.

While we await guidance from the district about how we will provide equitable learning opportunities for all students, please understand that our teachers are doing the best they can with the resources and guidance we have available at this time. Please use the resources available to you at this time to support your children – visit our FB page, Instagram page, Google Classroom and district resource page for free learning resources, read and play together, get outside, move around, set a daily schedule that includes work time and play time, and please continue to be patient with each other and our educators as we learn how to best support you from afar.

I will continue to stay in touch as we learn more and are able to provide more guidance and structure.

Take care,

Mrs. Hanson
