Good afternoon, Caleb Families. The district sent an email out this afternoon sharing some information about Chromebook distribution and I want to clarify several points. First, at this point, we have prepped Chromebooks for distribution only for families who indicated a need when teachers called to inquire about available technology in your homes. Teachers are reaching out to all of these families individually today, so please check your phones and voicemails to ensure you did not miss their call. We have plenty of Chromebooks available for all students who need them, however if you have not specifically spoken to your teacher or emailed me, we may not yet have a Chromebook prepped and ready for you tomorrow. BUT, there’s still time. If you would like to pick up a Chromebook tomorrow, please send me an email this evening to erin-hanson@scusd.edu and we will do our best to have one prepared and ready for pick up tomorrow. If you are not sure if we have one prepped for you, please also feel free to email your teacher or me to ask. 

Distribution will begin at 9am, not 8am tomorrow, and will end at 12pm. It is imperative that you follow social distancing guidelines in order to keep all of us safe and healthy. Please wait in your car until you are able to wait in line on the walkway in front of the multi-purpose at least six feet away from the person in front of you. Please leave your children in the car, do not send them up to get a Chromebook as the parent/guardian MUST sign a release and liability form. You will be called up to the table to sign the form and show your ID, and following social distancing guidelines, we will provide you with a Chromebook. 

As I said, there are plenty of Chromebooks for all who need them. So please arrive with a positive attitude, know you may have to wait patiently for a few minutes, be careful to respect our social distancing guidelines and remember to email me TONIGHT if you would like a Chromebook tomorrow and haven’t yet told us you’d like one!
