Back-to-School Night
Just to remind you—TONIGHT Wednesday, September 15 th will be our virtual Back to School Night beginning at 6 p.m. Additionally, each year, PTSO hosts a 30 minute meeting before Back-to-School Night to approve an annual budget. This is a short corporate meeting focused on budget approval. Normally, this meeting is held in the multipurpose room but this year it will be held on Zoom.

After the PTSO corporate meeting, teachers will open individual Zoom sessions for parents and guardians to attend Back to School Night. Teachers have sent out class-specific communication with that information.  

The first session is from 6:00pm-6:30pm

The second session is 6:45pm-7:15pm. 

Welcome Back Picnic

Please join other families for the Welcome Back Picnic on Friday, September 24 from 5:30-7:30 pm at Glenn Hall Park. Bring your blanket, a picnic dinner, and enjoy sweet treats for sale from the Meltdown Ice Cream truck. Let’s reconnect with old friends and make new ones with our special Caleb community.  
 

Friday Cougars on the Run.
Next Friday, we will welcome back a valued Caleb Greenwood tradition, our Friday Cougars on the Run. In the past, Caleb families would join at the track before school. This year, we have modified the offering to follow COVID protocols. Cougars on the Run will begin at 7:30 a.m. and end at 7:45 a.m., at which point children may go eat breakfast or line up at their classroom. Parents may drop their children off to the back parking lot at Camellia Avenue and Betty Way. Your child will head directly to the track. If any parents or guardians wish to spectate, you may remain in the parking lot wearing a mask to cheer on your runner. Yard supervisors will be staffing the run until we are able to get vaccinated volunteers approved for on-campus support.

Principal Update

The principal selection process is moving along and the same interview panel will be reconvened for the interview. The newly appointed principal will be joining the Caleb community soon. I very much appreciate your kind words and thank yous throughout my stay here. This is a wonderful school! My last day is Sept. 24 th .
