Post

Good evening, Caleb families!

I hope you’ve had a safe, healthy and warm weekend.

If you haven’t yet had a chance, check out the clues to our new IB Unit on our IB PYP Google Classrooms… there you’ll find our new virtual library, videos and a machine-building inquiry project to get you thinking about the theme and central idea of our new unit. And stay tuned this week for the big reveal!

All right, Cougars, start revving your engines! Caleb Greenwood’s virtual MOVE-A-THON begins January 25th. All Caleb Cougars will be challenged to move for at least 15 minutes a day and collect pledges to support the Caleb Greenwood PTSO.  Watch out for an email coming soon from 99 Pledges, which is an easy way to reach family and friends near and far to help your child get pledges.  Starting the week of January 18, part of the Caleb PE Fun Google Classroom will be dedicated to the Move-A-Thon, where there will be a bingo card to guide the kids Move-A-Thon goals and several short work-out videos for the kids to choose from provided by local fitness and dance studios. There will be exciting prizes for top earners, including a NEW BIKE and a $175 gift card to Fleet Feet.  There will also be raffle drawings so all kids who participate will have a chance to earn prizes.  And if 75% of our Cougars return completed bingo cards at the end of January, the school will earn a virtual DANCE PARTY with DJ Char and me!

This virtual Move-A-Thon will offer our Caleb Community a chance to take a break from screens, move our bodies and earn exciting prizes from a distance, all while raising pledges to support the programs that make Caleb so special.

Please be sure to check out this week’s Cougar Video Message and IB PYP Newsletter, both of which are available on our website. Let’s have a great week together!

See you on Zoom tomorrow!
