Good Evening, Caleb Families!

This week, The Old Spaghetti Factory is hosting a 3-day school fundraiser, from Monday, April 26th through Wednesday April 28th. Order online via www.OSF.com  and input code CGE at checkout so Caleb Greenwood receives 10 percent of the proceeds. The Sacramento J Street, Arden, Rancho Cordova, Elk Grove and Roseville locations are all participating, so choose any one you’d like, just remember to order online with the code CGE at checkout!

Our 6th graders are continuing to collect items for children and families experiencing homelessness. Please bring new hygiene products, cold weather clothing items, new school supplies and backpacks, books and magazines, non-perishable, individually-packaged snacks, and new arts and crafts supplies. Drop off your items anytime this week right outside the multi-purpose room. And thank you to our awesome 6th graders!

If you haven’t yet done so, please sign your child up for free on-site COVID testing. Our Health Aide, Ms. B, has made this a super quick and easy process. Sign up once and your child will get testing every two weeks during their in-person school day. Click here to register.

SCUSD is seeking the input of all stakeholders to help us develop our new Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).  With a wide range of needs and limited resources, it is important that we understand the priorities of our community to guide plans for the future. Your input will help the dstrict to understand what is most important, what has been working well, and where we need to focus our future efforts. Please consider completing this year’s LCAP Survey to share your input and ideas.

Thanks to all of you who made paper cranes! We reached our goal of making 1,000 paper cranes to collectively wish for hope, peace, and an end to violence and racism against people of Asian descent amid the coronavirus pandemic and all communities continually impacted by hate and racism. Let’s keep that wish alive by practicing and sharing our IB attributes at school, at home and in our communities everyday.

This week, check our IB PYP Newsletter and Google Classrooms to find ways to connect with our IB attribute Risk-Taker at home. My weekly video message will go out to students and be posted on our website tomorrow morning!

We’ve got this, Cougars! Set your alarms, get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, come to school and Zoom prepared and on time, and remember to WEAR A CLEAN MASK to school each day. Those masks should be washed daily! We can’t wait to see you this week!
